Is there an easy way to close an app you are currently using without using the back arrow?

Windows has the capability to X out an app and Mac has capability to quit an app but I have never noticed an easier way to close a Droid app except using the back arrow. What if you are using Firefox and there are multiple screens to close?

You can use the home button to go back to your home screen or the recent apps button to open a different one. In this overview list you can even close, by swiping left or right, the one you were using.
