Nexus 5 screen "choppy" after replacement

So I replaced my Nexus 5 screen after apparently cracking my old LCD, so I installed it and everything. So I start up the phone and the Google logo and boot animation all goes well, then right as it loads up it goes to a black, but on screen. So I know it's not totally dead. I then went to the recovery mode and was presented with the "choppy" display.
