My Galaxy Note 4 camera sometimes doesn't record photos I've shot. Why/how to correct this?

The camera on my Galaxy Note 4 acts funny. Sometimes it can record the photos I shoot. Sometime it doesnt. The message I get is this photo isn't supported by this studio. Sometimes I can see the thumbnails and sometimes I cant. Sometimes even when I can see the thumbnail of the photo I've just shot, it doesnt save the file to memory. Why and how to correct this. Is the phone writing a file that is not recognized by the file processor?
