I changed my pattern in app lock by mistake..I remember the password but can't change it!!

My phone is an HTC model.This might come accross as a dumb question but I am a li'l technologically challenged...so how am i supposed to change it using my email?Plz help.

Usually if you enter your password wrong a certain number of times, a button that says "Forgot Password?" or something of that sort should appear. Most likely you could use your email info (email and password) to login to the phone as long as its set up onto that phone already. You should be able to reset the password from there.
