Hi,
I had a problem with the power button on my S3 sticking a few months back and found a tutorial on how to remove it, I removed it and all has been well.

The problem I have now is that I've rooted my S3 to make it possible to "boot to recovery mode" by installing an app that needs root access, but now I cannot select any of the options as my power button has been removed.

I've tried removing the battery, holding down all the possible combinations of buttons while booting but I always get returned to the Recovery mode options and I'm stuck unable to select an option.

Please help....

Welcome to Android Central!

You might have to stick something in the phone to hit the power button. Just because you removed the plastic button doesn't mean there is no power button. Use something plastic to stick in there and press the black button on the board.

Thanks for the reply but I've removed the power button from the circuit board, not the plastic button.
