LG F3, using 4.1.2. How to easily move pictures to ext. SD?

I've tried ES File Explorer. Some were moved. Some were lost. Strangely I got messages for the ones lost - saying they were moved! No message on successful ones. I really don't find much info on how to move files to Ext. SD. I understand apps can't be moved, but there ought to be a simple way to move files!

Welcome to Android Central! The easiest way is usually to connect the phone to your computer via USB and use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the files.

Copy, don't move. If the copy goes bad, you still have the original. If a move (cut/paste) goes bad, you lose the file. Once you've made sure that the copy is good, delete the original. (That holds for any operating system, it's just easier to recover lost files on a PC than on a phone.)
