AC Question

I have a samsung galaxy s4 and I downloaded a new diy locker screen app but I can't delete the firt screen locker of the device itself because an app (android device manager) is the admin and I can't put "none" as lock screen so now I have 2 and my phone is slow because of it. Do you know how I can be the admin of my phone?

Hello. Uncheck ADM in Settings - Security - Device Administrators.

It's very useful for finding a lost device, Locking it remotely to protect your data, leaving a message and number that can be dialed on the screen while it's locked if someone wants to return it, or wiping / factory resetting it if it was stolen.

Hi I'm the one who posted the question (I needed to answer). Even when I uncheck it in settings it's still considered as the admin. Actually I don't need this app but I can't even delete it. But thank you for your answer maybe will it be useful for someone else.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Security>Clear Credentials. Now see if you have the option to select None as the lockscreen.

Try uninstalling the locker app first and removing as a Device Administrator, then re-installing it.
