My husband accidentally dunked my S4 in the water. I took it out and let it dry completey and while it works, the screen is now significantly dimmer (to the point that in bright sunlight I can't see it at all). However when I turn off the phone and turn it back on the initial screen is just as bright as before. But after it turns on completely the screen dims itself. I checked the screen brightness setting and I have it on the brightest setting possible with the Auto option turned off. Any other ideas?

There are settings in Power savings but that shouldn't click in unless your battery is low.

<whisper>... The S4 is two generations old. I think your husband should take "full responsibility" and buy you a new phone!
