Samsung Pay being blocked by Verizon...Any truth to that?

That's a deal breaker for me. I will not purchase a phone where software/hardware features are being hobbled by the carrier. The carrier should focus on providing connectivity between network and device and not limiting choice. I can't imagine the the use of the most compatible of all mobile payment systems with existing payment terminals to date being curtailed in favor of a less capable solution.

Samsung hasn't said anything. They announce things on their own time.

I'd be surprised if they don't do Samsung Pay. Folks are reading way too much into the omission from the website and couple tweets from people who don't actually make the decisions.

Found this link to an article in Droid Life. It has a statement from Verizon, and is dated 2 days ago:

I guess no one will know until Verizon wants it's customers to know.
