I want to free up some space on my android maxx by transferring some movies to my laptop. I then want to delete the movies from the phone. They are google play movies if that is any help. Thanks...

Welcome to Android Central! If you downloaded the movies directly from the Play Movies app, then I don't think you can transfer the files. Media downloaded from any of the Google Play apps (like movies, music, etc.) is generally in hidden directories with coded filenames.

You should be able download the movies directly on your computer. Use the Chrome browser, and install the Google Play Movies Chrome app. This app will let you download one of your movies for offline viewing.
