Is there a way to make the softkeys stay in the same place?

For years softkeys have been a deal breaker for me, but a friend convinced me that there was options to customize them in the G3. I took their advice and picked up an ls990. To my dismay, all I could change was the color. So I flashed to BlissPop ROM in hope of finding more options. It only let's you change what buttons are their and the theme, etc. All I want to do is have my softkeys stay in the same position regardless of my screen orientation like hardkey navigation buttons do. I've been searching Google for weeks on this, looked through every configuration file I could find but with no luck. Any ideas?
