I'm a student at a university. My internet where I live is blazingly fast, so using my phone for pretty much anything is a breeze. HOWEVER, when I connect to the wifi on campus my phone practically has a stroke. Its not that my phone won't render videos fast or search pages quickly, but EVERYTHING on my phone seems to be slower. Not just keyboard lag, but lag switching between apps and even switching pages on the home screen which I haven't seen before. I would usually just run CCleaner and get rid of idle apps and it worked once or twice, but now seems to stay laggy only on campus. This is nothing I've encountered before and it's almost unusable. So can the network I'm on actually do this to my phone?

Welcome to the forums. Do you have to sign into the network? That may be slowing down the device.
