Is my galaxy s5 broken?

I dropped my galaxy s5 in a kiddie pool and the back cover wasn't on all the way. I kept my phone in rice for 24 hrs. Both times i put my battery and sims card back in place the phone would light up and say "Downloading do not turn off target.". It won't do anything else, but that and then turn into a black screen.

Water is really bad news. It's probably done.

Be prepared to replace the phone - repairing it will probably cost more (if any shop is unscrupulous enough to actually try to fix it after it's been wet for 24 hours with water that has organics and HCl in it).
