Welcome to Android Central! Google Play Music is not entirely compatible with the stock Music app on your phone. Google Play Music can stream from your cloud music library, which the stock Music app can't do. If you download music using your Google Play Music app, that music file will be stored in a hidden directory under a coded filename (because it's only intended for offline play by Google Play Music), so it won't be accessible by the stock Music app. The only way to do what you're trying to do is to download the music from the Google Play Music website to your computer's hard drive using the computer's browser, then copy those files to the phone via USB (to the Music directory).
