Why won't my phone turn on properly?

A

AC Question

(This happened last night too) I was using my phone last night and I went to screenshot something and it just died. Like the entire phone just turned off. I tried turning it on again and it would get the start up screen of the S4 for about 3 seconds and then die off again. Thinking it was out of charge, I would put it on charge and try turning it on but it would do the same thing. And as well, after this would occur, i would only be able to get the screen up once unless I took out the battery and try again (if that makes sense)
Eventually I was able to get it on but today I woke up and it was the same process. I got it on again and now it literally won't turn on at all and I have no clue if the actual battery is dead or there's something else wrong with it.

Welcome to Android Central! If the battery died, you may have to charge it on a wall outlet for at least 4 hours or so before trying to power it on again. If it continues to do that, then it might have failed--try a new battery.
