Initially, when I had purchased this phone, it came to me with the Lollipop version. I was extremely happy with this version as it beats the crap out of the predecessor in terms of features and appearances (such a change from the ugly 4.2.2 I used to have on my Lenovo a369i).
But after a few weeks, I had to give my phone for repairs. I was told that some internal stuff had been replaced (e.g.: Motherboard, etc.).
When I received my phone, it did not have lollipop any longer. I do not understand why my cell now has the KitKat version.
And each time I try to update, I get a message saying "Phone is up to date". Since Lollipop was officially created for this phone, why is this travesty taking place?
    Is there a solution?

Welcome to Android Central! Try using Samsung Kies, which should be able to detect any updates for the phone.
