    Welcome to Android Central! How hot? Enough to injure you? Chargers normally can get pretty warm--but if it's hot enough to really hurt, or if the charging seems inefficient, then the charger might be defective.

    The charger most likely is defective. Even feeding a charger into a dead short shouldn't get it warm enough to bother you much. I just checked one that's been charging a large battery for a few hours - I can barely tell that it's above room temperature.
