Why can't I get my new S6 Edge to charge on the Escalade wireless charger?

I can't seem to get my new S6 edge to charge on the Escalade wireless charger

I got the plus and it wouldn't sit fully in the built in charger, so I returned it and got the s6 which seemed to charge instantly. However, it stops after like 5-25 seconds of charging and then no matter what I do to move it aound (rapidly or very delicately) it won't find the charge/connection again All of this without the case on even. It doesn't have any trouble charging otherwise.

The charger receiver (or the plate) may have a thermal defect. Try a different phone on your plate or your phone on different plate.
