How do I undo the action on my Andriod of deleting my 'gallery' photos?

AC Question

I had all of my photos in my phone camera's gallery backed up to Google Photos, so I deleted the folder named 'camera' and USUALLY it erases the gallery on my photo, but keeps it all stored onto Google Photos.
This time when I deleted the gallery on my phone.....all 927 of them were also erased from Google Photos.
I have not ever had this happen. It has worked well for at least 2 years straight, until today. And now I wonder, can I undo the deletion of my photos in the gallery on my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! How did you delete the Camera folder? Did you use a file manager and physically delete that directory? Did you use the Google Photos app? Or the stock Gallery app?

If you deleted the photo in the Google Photos app, then swipe in from the left, scroll down, and tap Trash. Are the photos there? If so, you should be able to restore them.
