How do you switch between Device storage and micro SD on M9?

I have M9 and realized that I can not select where my pictures are stored. On the M8 you could select between " Device" and ' SD card ( External Storage."
This was very useful because if you knew in advance that you wanted the pic/vid to be on your SD, you could select it before hand and it would go there automatically. Currently , Mine is set to " micro " SD and when it is full I will not be able to take any more pictures of videos.
This sucks. Wish they would leave things alone.

When you open the photos app and go into the settings, is there not an option to change the storage location? Also, the immediate workaround until you are able to move the files to another device (or backup online) is to copy the photos and move to the internal storage device.
