Apps won't stay on SD Card

My wife had an xpirea z3 compact running 5.1.1. It is cursed with only 16 gb on board storage, but thankfully it has an SD card. However everyday she wakes up and most of the apps that she put on the SD have been moved back to the phone. I have tried everything I know. Anyone have an idea why and how to fix it?

Have any of these apps been updated recently? Remember that in Lollipop ALL apps reside in the internal memory. ALL. OF. THEM. Period. Just the Main app file, however, is forced to be in the internal memory. It's up to each app's dev to decide whether their apps can be moved to SD card and which portions of it are allowed to be moved: External downloads, media, save files, etc.

Also, since LP uses the internal memory to install and update apps, it might be that updating an app can trigger the files being moved back to internal memory for installation/updating.
