How do you know if the StageFright is not in your Android?

I got text messages from the stagefright and kept deleting them. I opened one to see if I could block it. I then downloaded Look Out and scanned my phone and followed the directions to turn off the SMS settings. My phone updated 2 weeks ago. My phone is a Galaxy S3 is there another update that will happen? Or will it be fine? Not sure, I am all new to this I apologize. Thank You

Welcome to Android Central! Run a Stagefright Detector app by a respected company, like Lookout.

I got Stagefright Detector and ran the scan and it said I was at risk. I then followed their directions. Scanned again and said I was still at risk. I got text message scam from a stagefright and I did not open just delete it. I made sure to log out of any social media and email account from my phone. Will there be a new update or should I contact LookOut? Thank You for your help.

The Stagefright fix has to come from the manufacturer or the carrier. Did you get your phone from a carrier, or was it unlocked?
