How do I set updates for during WiFi only?

Open the Play Store, go to settings in the side menu, tap on auto-updates apps and then select the "only on WiFi" option.

The setting for this is not on your phone, it's on the Google Play store site. Tap your icon for the Google Play store. On the opening screen, tap the three lines in the upper left corner. This should give you a drop down menu. Select "Setting", from the Settings menu chose Auto-update Apps. That will give you a popup with three options one of which is "Auto-update Apps over WiFi only". Amazon is similar, you go to the opening screen, touch the three dot menu at the top and select setting. From the settings menu chose WiFi settings. This is where it is a little different. Here you select using WiFi by the size of the file you will be downloading. Touch the drop down arrow and you will get a selection of file sizes to activate WiFi only download.
