My screen stays locked on my moto g 1 st gen. it just did all of sudden?

my moto g 1 st gen screen is locked, i can power off and on will recieve calls downloads etc, but i cant answer or open screen, helt pwr button down to cut off then held down volume botton and pushed power on for 7-10 secs, and log came up said screen locked code 0, and below had recovery,factory,bp,tool, etc you could scroll down with down vol and select with up vol. i selected them all no change, i may not know how to activate the recovery programs ?? but still same any help. i already disconnect battery a couple times, no luck.
