Lolipop issues on my Verzion Moto X 2013

My Verizon Moto X received the new Lolipop update yesterday and I have had nothing but major issues. I cleared the partition cache, but it has not helped. I cannot text, email, etc. I would like to do a factory reset, but now when I plug my phone into a computer to back up all my music and photos, it does not recognize it. I've tried multiple computers. Any ideas how I can get a computer to recognize it, so I can backup everything, then try a factory reset?
