Allicons have changed to Android icon

AC Question

Hey all,
My Samsung Galaxy S2 restarted itself out of the bkue, and after it turned on again the battery was quite low (13%) and almost all the icons have changed to the Android icon without any option to enter any application.
What shall I do?
Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Most of those apps had probably been moved to the SD card, and then it's possible the SD card has failed. Those apps then become nonfunctional, since they can't access the portions that were moved to SD.

Go to Settings>Storage. Does the SD card still register? If not, remove it, and insert it into your computer. Does the computer read it? If not, then the card failed. This might be why the battery was so low, because the phone can overheat and the battery can drain when the card is corrupt or failing, as the system struggles to try to access it.

On the phone, assuming the card has failed, you will probably have to uninstall all of those apps, then reinstall them, this time without moving them to the SD card (or get a new card).
