My moto g2 app drawer changed from grid to scroll

Hello,
Today while my sister was playing on my phone something happened.When I took my moto g 2 from her and opened the app drawer it was in scrolling mode instead of grid .I want to change it back to grid without a third party launcher as I want to get Google now cards when I swipe left.

Have you updated the Google app? That change came with the most recent version.
