Why does my screen turn green and get distorted when I turn it to the lowest setting of brightness?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and this only started happening recently where every time I turn the brightness down to the lowest setting my screen turns green and starts flickering with horizontal lines. I haven't put it anywhere near water and I don't let my phone get so hot it'll explode the battery so I'm not sure what's going on can someone help me please! It seems to be getting worse when I try to set it to the lowest setting I can without having that flickering effect.

I got the same problem. It flickers and turn green when I set the lowest brightness. Please someone help with this problem.
