Will my files be lost forever if I format the disk?

A

AC Question

So my ScanDisk Ultra 32gb microSD is reading as RAW, so chkdsk wont work, DiskDigger wont work, and neither will Recuva. The only path left by the looks of it is to reformatting the drive. Although im worried that everything will be permanently gone after that, is this true? I have found another program called Wondershare that claims it can reclaim files after reformatting the drive, are programs like this reliable? Any thoughts or opinions would help and thank you so much1

Normally, once you format, files are very difficult to recover without forensic applications. If you have another memory device available, you could try Wondershare to see if it'll work before giving in to formatting your 32gb card.
