Galaxy s5. I am "unable to send messages"

[AC Question]

When i turn my phone on and go to the regular messaging app and open a conversation the place where i put text into says "unable to send messages". I cant start a nrw conversation either. I have to go into my app settings and close the messaging app for it to work its a very annoying process. How do i stop this from happening
