Why won't any of my apps on my HTC One update?

When I go to update my apps it will say that it's downloading/installing and it will stay like that for ages!!! And eventually I'll get a notification that it failed. I also cannot download any apps because the same thing happens.

Have you tried doing it over wifi rather than mobile data, or vice versa?
