Spam,getting 100 per day on gmail for Nexus 10 tablet

Owned my nexus 10 for 2 1/2 years and all of a sudden I'm getting about 100 spam messages a day on my gmail. Used to get about 2 or 3 a day. I also own a galaxy S4 if that helps. How can I block the spam from showing up daily? Thanks

I doubt it has anything to do with your tablet or phone. It just sounds like your email address showed up on a list. Are they coming into your spam folder or your inbox? If it's the inbox, there's not a whole lot to do except label the messages as spam, and be sure not to do anything that signals to the sender that you are a live email (i.e. don't click on anything, not even "unsubscribe"). Odds are it's a transient situation that'll burn itself out.
