I am planning to roll out a group of Android devices running 4.4.2 and need the ability, going forward, to install/remove/upgrade applications as well as occasionally modify settings on these devices -- similar to a corporate rollout of PCs. I'm struggling with OTA as a solution, as it does not seem to meet my needs in most areas, so I'm looking for suggestions on what the right approach to take here is.

Does Android have anything natively to support this, or is there software available (either for purchase or open source) that could allow for this type of control over these devices?

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
