can't be installed on USB storage or sd card????

My son has a tracfone - Android U671C UMX - running 4.1.2. He's tying to install a game and keeps getting this error. 1) he has no sd card. 2) don't think he has USB storage either. 3) it needs 44mb and he has like 282mb free. What gives??!!?? And how do I fix it??

Welcome to Android Central! Chances are that the phone is giving that error because it's hitting the low storage threshold. Just because the phone reports 282 MB free doesn't mean he can install a 282 MB file, or even a 50 MB file, since the system requires some amount of internal storage to remain available for other apps (for data storage). Also remember than an app always takes up more space once it's fully installed, compared to the filesize of the installer file (which is what's listed in Google Play).
