Receiving Texts late and calls not going through.

I Got the Samsung s6 when it first came out so it came with the stock Lollipop software when it was first released. Everything worked fine on it calls texts no problem. After I updated the software to 5.1.1 I have been receiving text messages from friends 20, 30 minutes sometimes hours later. Also when people call me it goes straight to my voicemail. I don't hear the phone right or anything. I have tried calling my phone from my LAN line and it goes straight to my voicemail. Its very sporadic in nature but it happens so often throughout the day its very annoying to get an answer hours later when I need to know right now. Does anyone else have this issue? I've talked to one guy at work who has the same phone he said he sent it in to get fix and it came back stock and works fine. My ex gf has the same issue with her same exact phone different carrier too, so it can't be carrier specific. Really disappointed in Samsung and Android OS I might as well have stuck to my Windows phone never had problems there.

Welcome to Android Central! A couple of things to try:

1. First, wipe the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095
2. If that doesn't help, then try booting into Safe Mode, to see if some 3rd party app isn't playing well with the new system update: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21007
3. If that doesn't help, then bring your phone to your local Best Buy's Samsung Store (if applicable), and ask them to reflash the firmware.
