How do I get apps from the Play Store to download onto my external SD card

I Have a 32gb SD Card but its useless since apps don't download onto it. I have tried many things but I cant get anything to work except for getting it to install onto the SD. I am also on a HTC Desire 610

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, that isn't going to happen. Apps have to download and install initially to Internal Storage, after which a portion of the app may be moved by you to the SD card (if the phone supports that function, and if the app is movable).
