I recently got my phone and its been fine, for a while at least, however it started raising the volume at its own will. I would try to lower it but it just goes back up immediately. I try to hold down the volume but it fights against my will and goes up. I haven't damaged it and there's nothing sticking the buttons. Help?

Welcome to Android Central! I'd suspect there's something wrong with the actual Volume Up contact, such that it's stuck on. Try following the steps to wipe the cache partition (which doesn't erase any personal data), but DON'T press Volume Up--just press Power and Home. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10683 See if it still boots into Recovery. If so, then that confirms a problem with the Vol Up button.
