Why is my phone not turning on or charging?

For about 2 hours my phone has been dead. I have connected it to 3 chargers to try charge it but it is very unresponsive. i will try activate it by holding the power button and the normally grey battery picture with the small lightening bolt will appear but unfortunately it is all i get. once that has happened it turns off again and i don't get that image every time i press the power button. Please help.

I think the best thing would be to take it to a repairer for diagnosis, although if the battery is replaceable you could try a new one.
