Can I fit a 3000 mAh battery into my Galaxy SIII phone (that came with a 2100 mAh battery)?

Is the 3000 mAh battery bigger than the 2100 mAh? Will it fit in my Samsung Galaxy SIII phone? Will it produce more heat than the standard?

Welcome to Android Central! If it's an extended battery designed for your phone, it should also come with a replacement back cover that accommodates the size. Larger batteries shouldn't generate more heat.
