Motorola Turbo. Since the 5.1 version upgrade.

I have a Motorola Turbo. Since the 5.1 version upgrade, I have lost my search capability for my company email. I use to be able to search for an old email but not there is no search area. I called Verizon and Motorola and they both blamed it to the uograde and Google. Any idea how to restore my search capibility for my company email.
