Galaxy s 5, is my digitizer broken too?

[AC Question]

I dropped my s5 and cracked the screen. Now half of the screen is shattered but the display is still on. However it is unresponsive to touch on the shattered half. Is it the digitizer? Or is it something else? Or would a simple screen replacement fix the issue?
