Not getting notifications on my Zenwatch 2 from my galaxy note 4

So picked up the zenwatch 2 yesterday and pairing etc. went well. I tested the notifications thru the Android wear app and get the call notification but nothing else. Am I missing something? I have the galaxy note 4 which displays the notifications on the phone and in the phone notification area, but alas nothing on the watch.

Welcome to Android Central! In the Android Wear app, tap the gear icon, and make sure there aren't a bunch of apps in the Block App Notifications section.

You're saying that even if you're just using the "Try Out Watch Notifications" option in Android Wear, it doesn't send anything except for call notifications? If so, then maybe try a factory reset for the watch, and then re-pair.
