How do I set the bluetooth connection volume on my S5?

A

AC Question

I recently upgraded to an S5 from an S3. I listen to music on my SD card on my phone when in the car and on my S3 I had the bluetooth volume set at max and it stayed that way, but on my S5 I have to keep turning up the volume on the phone to get the same volume. I do not want to turn the car stereo up louder because if I were to switch between sources like the radio it would be extremely loud. By placing my phone's bluetooth volume up to max it is at the same level as any other source on my car stereo.
Please note that I already have it set to max on the phone itself but as soon as I connect to my car the media volume is set lower. Interestingly enough when I turn it up on the phone the added volume on the volume indicator is orange instead of the normal light blue.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Music app? If so, go to its settings, and turn on Smart Volume. Does that make a difference?
