Huawei P8 internal memory

[AC Question]

Just bought a huawei p8 16gb from a friend, done a reset and deleted some stuff on it , however when i go to settings and then storage it is telling me that the total is 10.35gb with only 5.84 gb free....is this correct? I have not even added any of my apps or anything yet....surely the phone should have more usable memory than 5.84 gb. Any answers would be appreciated....many thanks
