Subscribed to Google Play Music trial. Why do I still have to pay for songs?

A

AC Question

The other night I subscribed to the google play music 3 month trial. Everything worked fine and was able to download any song I wanted to for free , however, when I went on today and went to go download a song and it said $1.29. I even tried going to songs that I had recently added for free, and same thing showed up. It says I'm still subscribed to the trial but I have to pay for the songs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

I have the same problem except that I could never get a song without paying fees over those of the subscription.
I cancelled the trial period and then resubscribed (this time I had to pay upfront, no more trial). Both Google Play Music and the Google Play Store do show that I have an ongoing subscription, yet, I still have to pay to download songs ...

I tried cleaning Google Play Store's cache and data, it does not seem to work.
