Looking for a sub $400 phone, which one is for me?

I've had a Nexus 4 for the past 3 years and it's starting to show it's age. I'm not a very demanding user but there are some particulars I'm looking for. 5.2 inches is the largest display I'm willing to get. The camera really does not matter to me at all. I'm looking for the snappiest phone I can get with ease of use. The Nexus 5x, Moto X 2014, and Moto G have caught my attention from the research I've done. Are there any other phones I should be looking at or a particular reason one of these 3 stands out? Thanks in advance for any insight and opinions.

Oneplus one 2 is a really nice phone. However I believe it is bigger than you would like... How about the s5 mini?
