Can I receive imessages from my daughters iPad on my note 5?

I just switched to the note 5 from the iPhone 6..when I had the iphone, my daughter could text me thru imessages on her iPad without actually having a phone plan. .can I still get those imessages on my note 5

Not that I'm aware of. I downloaded Skype on my MacBook and use their texting feature to text my Android friends.
