I've forgotten my Nexus 7 tablet unlock pattern and noticed on the other forums users recommend using the device manager to send a lock password to my tablet which should replace the pattern lock. When I try using the Android Device Manager as suggested, and select the 'lock' option, I get a message that reads, 'Since Google has verified that a screen lock has already been set, the password that you entered won't be needed.' Argh.
My tablet has prompted me to wait and retry every 30 seconds for over 200 tries now, with no prompting of a 'forgotten password' option. I'm loathe to erase my tablet and, due to a security breach had to reset my Gmail password, which has not yet been updated on the tablet. Help!
