Like most android users I am fed up with waiting on functionality and vulnerabilities updates and patches. The device you paid good money for cant be updated because your carrier cares more about its bloatware working then leaving you vulnerable. It seems to me that the carriers have over stepped there boundaries and that maybe this is now a Consumer Safety issue and maybe that's where we can fight to get control of our device. If I am off base please educate me on how we can start a push to get OTA updates for android? There is no reason to have any carrier in the way of updates that leaves us all vulnerable to stage-fright or any other malicious code or hack. Do we have to petition some one to be in control of the device that we purchase?
