How do I use my own allerts for message allert?

I don't want to use the alerts on the phone I want to change it so I can use my own alerts. Please help. I have a Samsung j1.

Hey, usually what I would do is download a file manager app from the play store, cut and paste my personal alerts and move them into the notification folder or ringtone folder within the phone. That way when you go into settings to change the notifications, you will find your personal ones.

Apps like Zedge also let you set them as your default notification / ringtone from within the app.
